Minerals such as calcium, magnesium and phosphorus gives strength to your body's skeletal system and teeth. It helps lower blood pressure and helps stabilize our mood by stimulating certain hormones. Iron, maganese and other trace elements helps the body to function by transporting oxygen. They are found in whole grains and cereals along with fruits, vegetables, and tea. Other nutrients includes fat, carbohydrates, sodium and cholesterol. They are the necessary nutrients in most diets. We consume these as part of our diet simply for the benefits it gives.
